| Description: |
We are looking for a Public Health Nurse Generalist to assist with our child and adult immunization program.
Public Health Nurse I:
Under close supervision:
1. Performs routine public nursing services for the public in offices, outlying clinics and community settings.
2. Participates in Garfield County Public Health activities requiring RN participation.
3. Participates in continuing education offerings.
4. Reviews all work products to ensure highest level of quality.
5. Drives vehicle to perform one or more essential functions.
6. Performs emergency response roles, as requested.
7. Performs other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned.
Public Health Nurse II:
1. Under minimal supervision, performs all essential functions of PHN I.
2. Performs comprehensive public nursing services for the public in offices, outlying clinics and community
settings.
3. Represents the department as a health resource person, in community health organizations, programs and
activities.
4. Contributes to preceptorship of professional nursing students as assigned.
5. Participates in group teaching to client and community groups.
6. Performs emergency response roles, as required.
7. May assist with ordering and maintaining supplies necessary for program area.
8. Performs other duties of a similar or related level as necessary or assigned. |

BSN perferred but will look at ADN with clinical experience. We will also accept new grads who want to make public health their profession. |
