| Description: |
This position provides broad based, community-focused nutrition programs, presentations and dietary consultation to Kent County residents, schools, worksites and community organizations. Major responsibilities consist of developing, planning and implementing programs and strategies to improve children's nutrition and physical activity status in local schools, and providing nutrition education to adults through worksite wellness programs. Other responsibilities include providing blood pressure/cholesterol screenings, responding to nutrition related requests for information, and developing presentations for diverse audiences or community groups. Individual is also responsible for providing staff trainings and nutrition education to health professionals. |

$21.04/Hour |
| Qualifications: |
Graduation from an accredited university or college and possession of a Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or Dietetics combines with certification as a Registered Dietician (or Registered Dietician eligible with examination pending in not more than six months) or a Master's degree in Human Nutrition or Public Health with nutrition emphasis. Must have experience working in public health or community health agency and in developng and implementing nutrition education and health promotion programs. Work experience in diabetes education or chronic disease prevention programs is preferred. |
