The School of Nursing and Health Studies, in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Northern Illinois University, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in its public health and health education programs to begin August 2009. The position will involve graduate and undergraduate teaching, as well as research, university and professional service, student advising, and overseeing student internships. |

| Qualifications: |
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a doctorate, preferably a Ph.D., in health promotion, public health, or a closely related area (applicants who are ABD will be considered if their dissertation will be complete by August 2009), and an M.P.H. or related degree. Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for teaching and research in health promotion. Those candidates with successful university-level teaching experience, proven ability to conduct research publish results, and secure external funding, and expertise in biostatistics will be given preference. Relevant professional work experience is desirable.
