| Description: |
Coordinate operations of WIC site(s) by managing all aspects of client services, including but not limited to: developing and maintaining scheduling system to provide efficient client services and clinic flow, supervising WIC staff, conducting new hire interviews, new hire training, performance evaluations, employee quality assurance audits, resolving employee relations concerns and conducting regular staff meetings and in-services. Coordinate facility management including but not limited to: janitorial services, property repairs/improvements, as well as implementing and securing safety measures. Provide client services, including eligibility screening, creating and reviewing client records and draft issuance, as well as interviewing clients for needs assessments and behavioral modifications to provide nutrition counseling with individuals or groups that would be considered a high risk. |

| Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field and two years of professional experience in the field of nutrition, which includes one year functioning in a lead or supervisor capacity. A Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition or related field may substitute for the experience requirement. Must possess good knowledge of personnel management with the ability to interface with program staff, the community, and other health care providers. Must have knowledge of fundamental principles, concepts, methods, and basic sciences in nutrition. Position requires the ability to develop and present education programs. Knowledge of nutrition education teaching methods with the ability to apply them to multi-ethnic, culture, and socioeconomic groups essential. Excellent communications skills a must. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.
NOTE: The successful candidate must be a Registered Dietitian (RD), or be RD eligible and obtain registration within six months of hire.
