Description: Job Duties: This full time position will serve primarily as the Project Coordinator for the Birth and Beyond California Project (BBC) of the Regional Perinatal Programs of California (RPPC). •Understand and provide oversight for all elements of the BBC Scope of Work, including collection of project deliverables •Foster and maintain communication with project consultants , PAC/LAC staff, and RPPC contacts on all BBC project elements •Assist in coordinating and implementing required trainings with local hospital staff •Facilitate the formation and operation of monthly hospital Quality Improvement teams •Assist in coordinating monthly regional Network meetings, including distribution of Network-related materials between hospital staff, project consultants, and PAC/LAC staff •Develop, obtain, track, and distribute educational and promotional materials for the BBC project •Critically review, edit, and make recommendations for educational material and other documents necessary for project implementation •Act as a resource person on breastfeeding issues related to the latest research, practice standards, and Model Hospital Policies •Assist PAC/LAC staff in the creation and execution of program evaluation tools and procedures •Regularly share progress and successes of the BBC project with State, RPPC, hospital and PAC/LAC staff •Disseminate BBC project information and results at local, state, and national conferences as requested •Coordinate requirements for providing continuing education units for medical and nursing professionals for BBC and other educational events •Attend community and State meetings on topics related to maternal, child and adolescent health •Perform other duties as assigned
   
Compensation: $40,000-$50,000
Qualifications: Educational Requirements: •A bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a health related field required. Master’s Degree in a related field preferred. •Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and Power Point) Recommended Experiences: •CLE certification, or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire • Excellent writing and public speaking skills •Ability to manage multiple project tasks and to prioritize activities •Knowledge of the health care delivery system in California •Knowledge of cultural and community-based health practices •Interest in personal growth and advancement in the maternal and child health field Additional Requirements: •Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance; the ability to travel within California as needed.
