| Description: |
The Winnebago County Health Department has a full time opening for an Epidemiologist. This position will provide expert consultation to the Health Department Administrator, Center Directors and Supervisors concerning descriptive and analytical epidemiology, program evaluation, and policy development. The main value to the Health Department is improving the outcomes of public health practice.
Essential duties include the following:
• Analyzes data, applying statistical techniques.
• Evaluates and develops routine health status summaries.
• Operates and refines routine surveillance reporting.
• Confers with Health Department Administrator, Center Directors, and others to evaluate programs to improve public health.
• Keeps up-to-date technically and in knowledge of all aspects of epidemiology in public health practice.
